A souvenir 'Friday flower' from my recent trip.
I was lucky enough to spend a couple of days in Santa Barbara, California recently. What a lovely place! If only I had millions, I'd make it home. I thought I'd share a few photos from my visit.
This was taken from East Beach on a typically perfect morning.
This is the Santa Barbara Mission. I walked from downtown, through gorgeous, quiet neighborhoods infused with the scent of fragrant flowers.
Speaking of flowers...well, you know me. Of course I couldn't resist snapping this one.
Last but not least, this is a view from the atop the clock tower at the historic county courthouse. I had to fight my way through a wedding party to get up there, but worth it.
I also got to eat a hearty breakfast on a patio at the beach, browse the Santa Barbara Museum of Art, sample the goods (and they were very good) at several wineries, stroll on the beach at sunset with my sweetie, and nod off to the lullaby of the ocean. An excellent trip, but much too short. Now when can I go back?
It's the first day of May. Ahem.
